“Morning Prayer”

A sort of hidden track on an already impossible-to-locate CD, "Morning Prayer" is the 19th song on the 2001 mail-order disc Golden Vaults Volume 1: Timeless. It isn’t listed on the CD case and may have been stuck on at the last minute when it was realized there were some extra seconds avaiable: "Morning Prayer" cuts off mid-song. Musically, it’s a collaboration with Sky Saxon’s friend Djin Aquarian from the 1970s Source Family/Father Yod days; the two would go on to record several more times in the 2000s. A pleasant acoustic tune, "Morning Prayer" is an ode to Father Yod and to the pursuit of making every day better than the last.
