He was more versatile than his legend gives him credit for. Sky Saxon recorded "White Christmas" with an unknown band in a kind of chaotic 1950s-rock way. It was released on the 2008 LP Dragonslayer. The band bashes through the barely-rehearsed tune and Sky’s vocal is surprisingly respectful – the guy could indeed sing. Would that all Christmas music were as fun as Sky’s "White Christmas".
