The song "Wake Up", from the live 1977 album Heavenly Earth, is an interesting Sky Saxon song. With its references to dogs but also its reassuringly conventional laid-back rock backing, "Wake Up" is like a pop version of Sky’s way-out-there record Lovers Cosmic Voyage. If you can imagine that.
On the intro to "Wake Up", Sky mentions that World Peace Band recordings of the song had been bootlegged and were selling in Europe for $6. We have no idea what he was referring to; no such disc has ever been seen by us, certainly.
