“Tears For God”

"Tears For God" is a song featuring Billy Cox on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. Released on the 2008 promo CD Sir Majik Love Her's Le Chateau, "Tears For God" is a lengthy performance (about six minutes) with Dana Smith channeling the spirit of Mitch’s buddy Jimi Hendrix through his heavy psych-bluesy wah-wah guitar. Sky wails along in his usual way, adding nearly-monotone lines about “getting closer to the tears of god”. The star of "Tears For God", despite the heavies in the room with him, is Dana Smith though, who lets that Jimi-like guitar wail like never before. Mitch and Buddy must’ve been having flashbacks during this one.
