"So This Is Love" pairs Sky Saxon from The Seeds with Jimi Hendrix’s drummer Mitch Mitchell. Recorded in the 2000s and released on a promo CD in 2008, "So This Is Love" also features Billy Cox on bass, co-writer Dana Smith on guitar, and Norma Lagomarsino on backing vocals. Mitch’s drumming is impossibly fast, playing a lightning-quick tip-tap pattern around his kit that continues in a never-ending spiral. Over this are lots of weird and shrill bent guitar notes and Sky’s husky hippie-burnout vocals. To our ears, unfortunately, Mitchell doesn’t quite maintain a steady beat during "So This Is Love". But with those weird psychedelic guitar noises it kind of works out in the end – must be some of that “majik”. The track can be found on Sir Majik Love Her's Le Chateau.
