Sky Sunlight Saxon, on the last major musical project of his life, covered two Beatles songs, "Come Together" and the heretofore un-garage-able "Love Me Do". But as on all tracks from 2008’s The King Of Garage Rock he makes it work, adding an affecting lilt to the song’s main melody – “love, love me DEW! / You know I love YEW!” Sky had an interesting way of looking at things, so leave it to him to elevate this most simplistic of Beatles tunes to a riotous chunk of groovy day-glo art. He’ll always be true.
