“I Hear The Mountains Crash”

by Sky Sunlight Saxon/Fire Wall
1988 song

Sky Sunlight Saxon and Fire Wall released their song "I Hear The Mountains Crash", one of Sky’s best-ever titles, on the 1988 French album ...In Search Of Brighter Colors. It features big pounding drums, sounding like a mountain crashing, and Mars Bonfire’s 1960s-ish keyboards. Sky does his thing vocally on top. There’s a grandeur to the performance, a striving outreach strengthened by a calculated studio professionalism to the gritty garage rock.

"I Hear The Mountains Crash" leads off the album. The American version of the LP, World Fantastic, has a slightly different lineup of songs and "I Hear The Mountains Crash" is not among its tracks. The only way to hear this song is a vinyl LP of ...In Search Of Brighter Colors or the CD that combined both of Fire Wall’s 1980s French LPs.
