A Web Of Sound 4-track tape cartridge

The 4-track tape cartridge version of The Seeds’ A Web Of Sound is a nearly impossible-to-find rarity for collectors these days. It was made for a brief period in the late 1960s before 8-track tapes edged out 4-tracks in the marketplace.
The Web Of Sound 4-track was licensed by GNP Crescendo to ITCC, the International Tape Cartridge Corporation. The vinyl LP’s catalog number, GNPS-2033, is used for the 4-track’s number which is F-50-2033. The two programs of the tape cartridge feature the same songs in the same order as the LP.
Sky Saxon’s producer alter ego Marcus Tybalt is mentioned below the song titles on the back, one of the more obscure places that this oft-used moniker would appear.
The cartridge features a square sticker on the front with a full-color print of the cover art and is placed inside a cardboard sleeve with a square hole to allow the cover to be seen. (The songs on the back are visible in the same way.) Otherwise the slipcase is generic except for a sticker on the upper spine with the artist and title printed on it.
