Album of the day

Early Sky Saxon

The 2001 CD Early Sky Saxon compiles nine of the twelve known pre-Seeds Sky Saxon songs which were released on various labels from 1960-4. The artist is given as Richard Marsh and The Hoodwinks; each of Sky's six pre-Seeds singles used a different artist credit and this was one of them. It is unclear why the compilers of this CD chose that name over any of the others. Early Sky Saxon is difficult to find for sale, but fortunately is unnecessary to all except Sky completists: these songs (plus more) are better collected elsewhere. 1. "They Say" 2. "Trouble With My Baby" 3. "Darling I Swear That It's True" 4. "Go Ahead And Cry" 5. "Do The Swim" 6. "Baby Baby Baby" 7. "Half Angel"
